New Military acoustic torpedo will kill the inbound weapon by pre-detonating it while in route. Think of it as a sound wall in the water being send out from a Navy Ship or Nuclear Submarine; a defense system literally of the future. Imagine how this changes submarine warfare? Even if you can find it, you will not be able to hit it. The acoustic transducers will have 360 degree reach with arrays facing outward. The second the ship detects and inbound torpedo the big flat panel loudspeakers are set and ready to fire all at the same time. The acoustic shock wave detonates the inbound weapon. Is that cool or what? This could only be born of DARPA and yes you are right. So how big is this thingy anyway? Well it contains six rows of 60 transducers on each side of the ship all fired at the same time? And you thought your last Rock Concert was going to make you hard of hearing or deaf in one ear?
